Turkey Chili 

  
Homemade Turkey Chili! This recipe is filled with flavor and packed with ingredients full of goodness. Kidney beans, black beans, green pepper, mushrooms, onions, and crushed tomatoes…delicious! 

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 tsp. Olive oil
  2. 1 pound ground turkey
  3. 1 onion, chopped
  4. 2 cups water
  5. 1 (28 oz.) canned crushed tomatoes
  6. 1 green pepper, chopped
  7. 1 pkg (about 6 crimini) mushrooms, chopped
  8. 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  9. 1 (16 oz.) can black beans, rinsed and drained
  10. 1 tbsp. garlic, minced
  11. 2 tbsp. chili powder
  12. 1/2 tsp. paprika
  13. 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  14. 1/2 tsp. ground cayanne pepper
  15. 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  16. 1/2 tsp. salt
  17. 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Place turkey in the pot, and cook until evenly brown. Stir in onion, and cook until tender.
  2. Pour water into the pot. Mix in tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, mushrooms and garlic. Season chili powder, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 30 minutes.
