Banana Pancakes

Gluten and dairy free banana pancakes made with almond milk and gluten free Bisquick. Topped with banana slices and maple syrup. 


Turmeric Smoothie

Turmeric, banana, rice milk, shredded coconut, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg makes a delicious smoothie! Turmeric is a popular spice used in Chinese medicines to treat infection and an array of medical conditions. It is a powerful antioxidant and is one of the most powerful natural anti- inflammatories. Science has also shown that Turmeric helps with osteoarthritis pain relief and heart disease.


  1. 1 banana
  2. 1 cup rice milk (or almond milk, coconut milk) 
  3. 2 tsp turmeric 
  4. 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  5. 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  6. 1/4 tsp ginger 
  7. 1/4 cup shredded coconut


  1. Blend all ingredients and top with shredded coconut and a sprinkle of cinnamon

Sea Bass Tacos

Sea bass tacos with cilantro lime sauce, pico de gallo, avocado, and sprinkled with chili lime salt, on an extra thin corn tortilla. 

Ingredients for Cilantro Lime Sauce

  1. 1 cup grapeseed vegenaise
  2. 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  3. 1 lime, juice 
  4. 1/2 teaspoon chili lime salt (from trader joes) 


  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl
  2. Can be refrigerated for up to 3 days

Ramen and Shrimp

Rice ramen noodles with sautéed chili lime shrimp and green onion. The ramen is gluten free and made with black, brown, and white rice flours from the company Lotus Foods. I sautéed the shrimp in earth balance butter, garlic, and chili lime salt from Trader Joes. 

Chinese Chicken Salad

Chinese chicken salad with red peppers, carrots, green onion, and fresh cilantro, sprinkled with sesame seeds. 


  1. 3/4 cup grapeseed oil (or vegetable oil)
  2. 5 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
  3. 3 tablespoons gluten free soy sauce
  4. 3 (3 ounce) packages of chicken flavored ramen noodles (cooked)
  5. 1 large head cabbage (shredded)
  6. 1 head iceberg lettuce (shredded)
  7. 3 large carrots (shredded)
  8. 1 bunch green onions (chopped)
  9. 1 cup roasted chicken meat (shredded)
  10. 1 red pepper (chopped) 
  11. 1 small bunch fresh cilantro (chopped) 
  12. Sesame seeds (sprinkled on top)
  13. pinch of salt and pepper for dressing


  1. Toss chicken meat, cabbage, lettuce, onions, red pepper, carrots, cilantro, ramen noodles, together in a large bowl. 
  2. Beat grapeseed oil, vinegar, soy sauce, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl; drizzle over the salad and toss to coat.

Veggie Burgers and Beet Salad

Amy’s veggie burgers topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions, spicy brown mustard, and chopped arugula. A beet salad with heirloom tomatoes, walnuts, fat free feta, and a homemade vinaigrette. 

Ingredients forVinaigrette 

  1. 2 tablespoons honey
  2. 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  3. 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar 
  4. 1 1/2 tablespoons minced shallots
  5. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  6. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  7. 6 tablespoons grapeseed oil 


  1. Whisk all ingredients in a bowl 
  2. Shake in a container with lid, so it can emulsify
